SANTA FE, N.M. ? Former Santa Fe County Sheriff Greg Solano is out of jail.The former lawman has spent the last six weeks in jail for selling off government property and keeping the cash. Solano had been sentenced to three months behind bars, but good behavior cut the time in half.He was released Friday morning. But for the next nine months he?ll have to wear an electronic bracelet and can only go between work and home.Solano was sentenced in September for ripping off the county by selling bullet proof vests and other country property on E-Bay. He pocketed about $75,000 from the sales.Solano will also have to pay about $25,000 in restitution to Santa Fe County.
